The Fashions of 'Mad Men'

The Fashions of 'Mad Men'

As AMC's hit show 'Mad Men' kicks off it's third season, I am more drawn than ever to the women's fashions of the show. Glamorous images of Betty Draper (January Jones) grace our local newspaper, Vanity Fair magazine, and various websites and inspire my love of 1950s & 60s Fashions.

Etsy, a favorite site of fabulous creations and vintage fashion and accessories is the perfect place to search for a glamorous wardrobe like Betty Draper's. Here are just a few of the lovely gowns Etsy has to offer. Etsy, Ebay and your local Vintage Shop or Thrift Store are all great places to nab that perfect dress.

In Season 2, Betty Draper has several similar dresses that shows her friend who is looking for a dress to borrow for an evening party. They're all darling. I'd love to have one like this to wear to weddings and the theater. Preferably burgundy.

I love, LOVE, this dress! It's definitely timeless and oh so classy! That neckline would make for a lovely long evening gown, too! What a great inspiration piece.

What a fun dress for Christmas! This style would also look dreamy as a full length number. Oh, the drama!

Look at that Black Chiffon shirred at the waist - isn't it adorable? Undoubtedly this has an itsy bitsy waist, but the lines of this dress also create the illusion of a stunning waistline. This one's a showstopper!
