Fabulously Inspired Living
The living room has been - as usual - one of the most difficult rooms to decorate. But I think it's finally almost finished! Until it's completed and pictures can be posted, I thought you might like to see a few more of my inspirations for this room.
I wanted something very glamorous (of course) and was much inspired by the artwork of Alphonse Mucha and the style of 1930s Hollywood homes. "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day" has been playing nonstop. Especially as I tackled lighting in this room - 8 lamps! That seems like a lot, but was definitely necessary.
Tonight I picked up some great little gold painted ceramic 'bows' at Marshall's to hang on the wall under antique picture frames holding Mucha's work. They helped to anchor the artwork to the wall. I also finished a sink skirt for the bathroom. And now I'm painting the legs of a hallway table black. Everything is looking perfect and I can't wait to share pictures!

I love Art Nouveau, especially Alfons Mucha. I have a 36x24 inch ‘Daydream’ (not on canvas, just a poster for a few dollars) in a black frame in my hallway and it looks great!
